But one question; how did you connect and format the internal HDD on other computer??? Hi It seems the HDD is ok because you were able to access it from another computer. Many thanks Mike for the useful information. I think it will help other user with similar issue. After no luck I just started doing all sorts of things to troubleshoot.

I’ve never been stumpted like this before! Why does the computer insist on doing sagellite thing: When I put it back in the satellite, I toshiba satellite a15 – s129 it to boot from the cd since the hard drive was blank, but no, I get the “missing ntldr message”.
Then I removed the hard drive and put it back in the Satellite I would not have to have toshiba satellite a15 – s129 it this way if the A had a floppy! Hi What a tricky procedure!!! The hard drive was “Locked” so even toshiba satellite a15 – s129 I reformatted there remained data on there protected, and so the computer went though its boot sequence, and stopped at the hard drive, hence the NTLDR message.

The boot goes to the cd, BUT just when I thought I could just install, I get the screen that says missing hard drive, even if I hurry and push the hard drive in. I decided to do a fresh install on my neighbors AS Satellite. Many thanks Mike for the useful information. Results 1 to 4 of 4.
